FAQ's

Is My Child Eligible?

The CHJT is open to boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 18 (as of June 1st, 2017). High school graduates are eligible for tournament play only during the summer immediately following their high school graduation.

What fees are associated with the CHJT?

Membership Fee:
$65 (Spring and Summer Events)

Event Fees:
$45/event

What does CHJT Membership entail?

-Eligibility to register for CHJT Spring and/or Summer Events.  *The Tour Championship field is limited to Event Champions & the top players from each division's Point Standings following the "Summer Series" 9th event).
-A "Membership Kit" consisting of a CHJT Tee Gift Package, CHJT Bag Tag, USGA Rules of Golf Book & Event Awards.

When is the registration deadline?

To create a more accomodating environment, the CHJT keeps registration "OPEN" througout the season.  This practice allows golfers to join beyond the first event of the season.  We have noticed as events are contested, word of mouth sparks additional interest.  In order to stay true to our goal of creating a competitive environment, we don't want to close the doors on any deserving golfers.

What if we do not use all of the entry fees paid at the start of the season?

Due to a number of reasons, there may be an instance where a member is unable to play.  Prior to said event, send an email to cpoolitsan@coghillgolf.com and following the Tour Championship, a refund gift card will be mailed for any unused entry fees.  It's that simple!

Will the Membership Kit be mailed to our residence or need to be picked up?

The Membership Kit will be available for pick up at each CHJT event.  They will be held at the registration table.

What is the Tour Championship and who is eligible?

The Tour Championship is an 18-hole season ending event.  The invitation-only field will play Course #4-Dubsdread.  The field will be determined from the Player of the Year Point Standings following the "Summer Series" 9th event.  Invitations to play will be given to CHJT Event Champions and the top golfers from each age division in Player of the Year Point Standings.

Are the CHJT events 9 or 18 hole competitions?

Each event is an 18-hole competition.  The only time we offer 9-hole events has been in the case of extreme/inclement weather.

Are GPS devices permitted for use during CHJT events?

With our desire to keep pace of play moving, GPS AND distance measuring devices are permitted for use in CHJT events.
